Terms and Conditions

FounderStack is run by one person, not a company with a legal department. These terms are written to be read, not just filed away. If something here feels off or unclear, reach out and I'll fix it.
What FounderStack is
- It's a directory and peer-review platform. Founders list their apps, and other founders review them. Reviewers earn karma for genuine reviews, and karma is spent to get your own app reviewed.
- It's built and maintained by one person. There's no support team behind this, just me. Response times and fixes happen on a solo founder's schedule.
Your account
- You need an account to use most of the site. Sign up with email and password, or with GitHub.
- Reviewing other apps requires a connected GitHub account. This is a basic anti-bot measure. Browsing the directory and listing your own app don't require it.
- You're responsible for your account. Keep your credentials to yourself and let me know if you think someone else has access to your account.
Submitting and editing apps
- Every submission goes through review. Apps move through draft, pending, approved, or rejected status before they show up publicly.
- Once your app is approved and live, you can edit it freely. Changing your listing after approval doesn't send it back through review. This is intentional: it lets you keep your listing accurate and up to date without friction. It also means you're responsible for keeping what you publish honest, since nobody re-checks it after the fact.
- Pending and rejected apps can't be edited until a decision is made on them.
Karma
- Karma isn't real money. It has no cash value, and you can't buy, sell, or transfer it. You earn it by reviewing other founders' apps, and spend it to run a review campaign on your own app.
- The one exception is the separate Featured ad boost. You can pay real money through Dodo Payments to feature your listing for 30 days. This is a completely separate system from karma and doesn't touch your karma balance in either direction.

What we can remove or restrict
- We can remove listings, reject submissions, or suspend accounts at our discretion. This covers things like spam, fake or bot-driven reviews, gaming the karma system, or abuse of other founders on the platform.
- We're not obligated to explain every decision in detail, though I'll generally try to if you ask.
No warranty, limited liability
- FounderStack is provided as is, with no guarantee that it will be error-free, always available, or fit for any particular purpose. This is a small, indie-run service, not enterprise software with an SLA.
- Reviews reflect the opinions of the founders who write them, not FounderStack. We don't verify every claim made in a review or a listing.
- To the extent the law allows it, FounderStack and its operator aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. If something breaks or goes wrong, the honest answer is that this is a one-person project and I'll do my best to fix it, but I can't offer guarantees a bigger company might.
Changes to these terms
- These terms may be updated as the product changes. If a change is significant, I'll aim to make it noticeable rather than quietly editing the page.
Governing law
- These terms are governed by the laws of Maharashtra, India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
