How it works
What is Karma?
Karma is how FounderStack keeps feedback honest. It's not a currency, you can't buy it, and it has no cash value. It's just a way of making sure the people reviewing your app have actually put in the work themselves.
The loop, in order
Submit your app
List your app on FounderStack. Once it's approved, it's live on the directory.
Review other founders' apps to earn karma
Pick an open campaign and leave a real review. You get 10 karma the moment you submit it. If the founder approves your review, you get another 10 karma on top.
Spend karma to start your own review campaign
Starting a campaign for your own app costs 100 karma, taken immediately when you start it.
Get reviewed back
Other founders review your app while your campaign is live. You get 48 hours to approve or reject each review. If you don't act in time, it's auto-approved and the reviewer still gets their bonus karma either way.

Why GitHub is required to review
- You need a connected GitHub account before you can submit a review. It's a lightweight way to cut down on fake accounts and sockpuppet reviews. Browsing the directory or submitting your own app doesn't require it, only reviewing does.
A couple of things karma isn't
- Karma isn't the same as upvotes. Upvoting an app is separate, free, and doesn't cost or earn any karma.
- Karma isn't connected to the Featured ad boost. Featuring your listing for 30 days is a paid option through Dodo Payments. It's a completely different system from karma and doesn't touch your balance.
