These figures are estimates based on each provider's publicly listed pricing, before your own taxes. Always confirm current rates on the provider's website before you decide.

How this calculator works

A Merchant of Record (MoR) sells your product on your behalf, handles sales tax and VAT, and pays you what is left after its fees. This calculator estimates that payout for each provider from the rates they publish.

The formula

Every provider charges a percentage of each sale plus a fixed amount per transaction, so we need both your revenue and your transaction count:

Estimated payout = MRR − (MRR × percentage fees) − (transactions × fixed fee) − optional fees

Example: with $10,000 MRR and 200 transactions, Paddle's 5% + $0.50 costs $500 + $100 = $600, so the estimated payout is $9,400. Creem's 3.9% + $0.40 costs $390 + $80 = $470, so the estimated payout is $9,530. The percentage stays the same as your order value changes, but the fixed fee takes a bigger share when orders are small.

How your choices change the result

Customer location and billing type. Surcharges such as international card fees or subscription fees are applied only to the share of revenue you select. "Mixed" lets you enter that share, so 50% international adds the surcharge to half of your MRR.
Optional fees. Lemon Squeezy extras, Polar payout and FX fees, and the Kelviq introductory rate are only counted when you enter or tick them. Nothing optional is assumed.
Polar plan. Polar's rate depends on the plan you are on. Paid plans add a flat monthly fee, which is counted in the total fees.
Polar payout and FX. These are calculated on the amount left after Polar's own fees, since that is what gets paid out.

Your own income, corporate or sales taxes.
Refunds, chargebacks and failed payments.
Currency exchange rates, except the FX percentage you enter for Polar.
Custom, negotiated or enterprise pricing. FastSpring and PayPro Global are left out because they publish quote-based pricing only.
Differences in features, support, payout countries and supported payment methods between providers.
